Lead Physical Therapist at Persevere Physical Therapy, LLC
Joseph Daigneau is a licensed Doctor of Physical Therapy in the state of Pennsylvania and he is passionate about helping his clients realize their limitless potential and achieve goals they once felt were impossible. Joseph earned his Associate of Science from Community College of Philadelphia then went on to graduate on the Dean’s List with his Bachelor’s in Kinesiology from Temple University. After rehabilitating from a devastating double shoulder dislocation and two shoulder surgeries while in graduate school, Joseph accomplished his lifelong dream of becoming a Doctor of Physical by graduating from Temple University where he received a National Pro Bono Honor Society award for his commitment to volunteering at the North Broad Physical Therapy Center.
Joseph is passionate about guiding those who are in pain and frustrated to becoming the best version of themselves. He achieves this through setting measurable goals and helping you uncover your motivation behind your actions. He has successfully treated a wide variety of individuals with the following diagnoses: Multiple Sclerosis, Parkinson’s Disease, Stroke, Traumatic Brain Injury, CHF, and COPD. Joseph has a special interest in working with runners and overhead athletes to avoid overuse injuries and manage tendinopathy and bone stress disorders. Joseph is also a certified USA Level 1 Track & Field Coach.
Joseph’s mantra is that “the pain in your life is your greatest mentor.” He believes in the power of turning your struggles into your greatest drivers to become successful. Joseph is an embodiment of this quote as he was born 3 months premature and was given a 1% chance of survival by physicians. His earliest memory of his childhood was being placed on a nebulizer so he could breathe. He was told that he would never walk, run, or live a normal life. Last year, he placed in the top ten of his age category during his first race ever which was a 50 mile trail ultra-marathon. He is currently preparing to compete in his first half iron man triathlon next August.
WHAT PEOPLE SAY
Philly Loves It!
"Joe was an amazing therapist. He really listened to my concerns and took the extra time to explain exercises. I was feeling hopeless about my knee pain before working with him. Now I am able to do my cycling classes as much as I want."
" I was hesitant to sign up at first because I've done physical therapy before, but this place is different. Joe is professional, compassionate, and patient. He really helped guide my recovery and now I am back to running again! Thanks man."
" I've had nagging back pain for years. When I got my evaluation done by Joe, I could tell he really cared about helping me. Not only am I back to my usual routine, but I feel the best I have felt in a long time. I don't know where I would be if I hadn't picked up the phone and called him. Worth every penny."
